Rob has been in the timber industry for over 40 years, working within various fields including roof truss and pre-fabricated frame production as well as timber and hardware sales since he left school. Brian started as an apprentice and has now been working in the timber trade industry for over 37 years.

When my brother and I started Gooding Timber and Hardware 20yrs ago we realised we had many years combined valuable building information to offer our customers.

We decided to offer a structural deck design service for FREE, so when you contact us, you’ll easily get answers to all those nagging questions.

We service residential customers from whole house builds, decks and D.I.Y renovation projects, to commercial developments such as child care centres, coastal jetties and shopping centres.

At Gooding Timber and hardware we care about our communities and the health of our environments, so we source timbers that are “Forest Stewardship Council” certified, which is approved by Green peace international, the WWF and the “Australian Conservation Council”.

Even our Indonesian imported timbers are sourced under the “Chain of Custody” certification process.
